Ever feel unsure who to turn to if you are feeling unwell? Finding it hard to know which piece of health information applies to you? Have a niggling health question you want to ask?
The STV Health Centre has partnered with NHS inform to provide a reliable one-stop online starting point for health information.
As well as core, localised information on who to turn to in the first instance, the STV Health Centre will also focus on a number of key health campaigns, such as how to prepare for this year’s winter.
In addition, every month highlights particular health issues, with February focusing on mental health and wellbeing, cancer, FAST stroke awareness, tinnitus, heart attacks and raynauld's condition.
You can also find NHS-approved information on a number of health topics such as smoking, alcohol and breastfeeding.
And, if you have a question on a general health topic, you can ask NHS 24 and NHS inform Medical Director Dr George Crooks.
If you have an immediate health concern or acute symptoms of an illness, you should seek help directly from your GP or contact NHS 24 on 08454 242424 when your GP surgery is closed.
