I keep getting terrible migraines

I suffer from migraine but this past year, I’ve been getting some terrible headaches, sometimes down one side of my head or down my face.

I know that’s the symptoms of migraine but I am now also getting gripping headaches on top of my head, my neck and sometimes they are agony.

I take my sumatriptan and it goes away but within 12 hours, its back and can last for about four or five days.

From your description you are a long standing suffer of migraine and are aware of how your classical migraine presents.

The severe headaches that you are experiencing, which are spreading down the back of your neck, sound as though it has an origin in intense muscle spasm.

Any change in your headache pattern is worth a review by your GP to determine what is the best treatment approach going forward.

The medication you describe is a classical tried and tested anti-migraine medicine. It may be that you would benefit from an additional medicine to resolve these new symptoms.
