STV Appeal donations can be made through RBS cash machines

STV Appeal donations can be made through RBS cash machines

From today, you will be able to make a donation directly to the STV Appeal through RBS ATMs.  The Appeal will join seven other charities to benefit from the ATM Giving Scheme run by RBS.

Customers can choose to donate between £1 and £150 to help fund the work of the STV Appeal via RBS ATMs, with 100 per cent of the donation going straight to the Appeal. Helping an important cause couldn’t be easier.

The STV Appeal aims to help the 220,000 children living in poverty in Scotland, with every single pound raised staying in Scotland and going directly to the children who need it most.

Elizabeth Partyka, Deputy Director of Channels at STV said:  “We are delighted that the STV Appeal is one of the chosen charities to appear on RBS ATMs and would like to thank RBS for this opportunity.

“The shocking fact is that 220,000 children in Scotland lives in poverty and the STV Appeal wants to help change that. If everyone who used an ATM, donated just £1 once this year, that would help make a difference to children across Scotland.”

Furthermore, thanks to the support of The Scottish Government every penny donated will be doubled.

Steve Lampshire, RBS Senior Community Affairs Manager added: “Charities do very important work in the community and we are very happy to support this new vehicle for giving.

“More than two billion ATM transactions were made in the UK last year; and 25 per cent of those are made through our network, so it’s pretty obvious it is a regular part of most people’s daily lives.

“We know that finances are tight for many people, but if our customers do want to make a donation, we want to make the process as easy as possible for them.”
